On September 10th, 2022 in the Sierra de Gata, Extremadura we are celebrating our wonder and joy in life, and especially the coming together of our lives in the present moment. Each of us brings to the other a lifetime of family and friends and gratitude to you all for helping us be who we are today. We would be delighted if you could join us for this day - or days, if you can stay longer. The Event: What to expect

Santibañez el Alto is also celebrating on September 10th.

The village is celebrating the Day of Extremadura. You are invited by the Mayor to participate in all the events of the day and you are especially invited by Callie and myself to our own ceremony which we are planning alongside the village festival.

Santibañez has a population of only a few hundred but we can expect the place to be busy. There is a plan to offer a giant paella to all comers on the day. We will make further arrangements for nourishment on other parts of the day for all of you who come to join us. My house is on the bull-ring so you’ll need to have sensible footwear.

Overall, don’t expect anything terribly formal although we hope to adjourn for a ceremony, possibly to the river. There we should be able to come together as one family to celebrate the twists and turns of life and the infinite possibilities which life offers us all and for which Callie and I are especially thankful. This will probably be the time for dressing more formally.
